PV Power-Plants
Only if a PV system achieves the expected lifetime and delivers the performance it was designed for the inverstors can expect that their investment will be successful.
However - even if PV systems are considered to be “simple” – there are multiple error sources during design, construction and operation phase which can violate the system performance. Either temporarily - or even worse permanently.
This venue targets to highlight some of the measures to avoid or eliminate the most important failures, to identify preventive measures or refurbishment approaches as well as solution approaches to deal with new challenges for PV plant operators.

Discussion and Summary
Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Bächler
Your Advantage
This venue will provide you valuable insights in many aspects of PV Power Plants: Starting with the needs, limitations and benefits of quality assurance aspects in design, component selection, construction and commissioning and PV system certification in addition crucial issues during long-term PV Plant operation will be addressed. This includes failure detection efforts as well as remedies and refurbishment approaches and cost/benefit analysis for PV plant dismantling at end of life. Finally an outlook on challenges and solution approaches for the operation outside the “umbrella” of Feed-in-tariff systems will be provided.
